Humulesti was the image of the traditional Romanian village, as Ion Creanga (a very well known Romanian writer) described it in his stories one and a half centuries ago. In reality, the (ex)village is now a neighborhood of Targu Neamt and is loosing the battle with urbanization and modernity.
